Life and School goals.

Since I knew what goals were, from my parents and in school, I had made many. I have made many goals each day. Some of the goals that I have made have been accomplished, while some are still in the process of being accomplish. I have chosen two of my biggest goals to examine. One goal that has been accomplished, and the other that is still in the process of being accomplished. The two goals I have chosen is one: To be a lawyer. The other goal I have chosen is to playing every sport I could, and doing my best in it.

First off, I would like to examine my goal to be a lawyer. Since I knew what a job was, I had always said I wanted to be a lawyer. I know that sometimes plans change, when you realize how hard it is to get there. But for me, it’s not about how hard it is. If I set a goal, next thing to do is start learing how to reach it. Everyday, I find more and more ways and reasons to not change that goal, and to reach it. First, I have to finish high school, not only finish school. I must finish school with using every last thing I know to make good grades. Next, I must attend a college. My plan for college is Iowa University. Finally, study hard in college, and reach my dream of wanting to be a lawyer. I know that it is gonna be rough, and sometimes feel to tough, but with the help and support of my family that has brought me to where I am now, I know that I can be anything i desire.

As for my goal of joining all sports I could, and trying my best at it, has been accomplished. Though it has been accomplished, it can still be looked at as in the process as well. It has been accomplished again, thanks to the support of my family, most especially my dad. It all started when I was sixth grade, and I had sports in my school. I always watched kids play, but I was never allowed to play sports. When I moved back to the states, my dad being an athlete himself, gave me the courage and confidence to join sports. The first sport I played was soccer. Soccer was something I felt good at. What made me stronger and succeed, was first my dad always giving me the courage to go to practice to be better. Then my family, who I saw at every game always encouraging me and cheering me on. Finally, myself, for not giving up, and not letting anyone or anything bring me down. Sports, is one of the many things that I enjoy doing, and effects my personality, and my outlook on my future on life. I do see myself being older and still enjoying sports.

To sum it all up, I am the person who sets goals, and does everything to reach it. In other words, I am not the person to give up. I have many reasons to keep going, and theres nothing stopping me. After all, I have learned that family, support, self-confidence, and a great personality are just a few of the biggest thing it takes to succeed in a goal. As for my goals, my life goals and school goals all come into one. I see it as one big goal, because in life, you learn all about it through school, and school is what prepares you for life. Finally, I have come to realize that everyday, I am doing everything I could, to reach my goal, which is to  become a lawyer. Like I had mentioned early, theres nothing stopping me.

Journal entry #21

Middle school in my eyes is some of the best few years of school. Between sixth and eighth grade many things changed and many things remained the same. I am going to be comparing and contrasting life from sixth grade to eighth grade, since it is my last year in middle school. I have faced many challenges throughout my middle school years, but as I look back on it now, I realized that is has all payed off. I can also say that I have succeeded through my middle school years with the help and support of my family.

In my middle schools many things were different, at each point. Between all grades one of the differences I look at now is how for each grade I attended a different schoool. For sixth grade I attended Bishop. Next, I left to Illinois and attended Marlowe Middle school for seventh grade. Finally, I am ending my middle school years attending Untalan Middle school. Another difference I have faced throughout middle school is the work. In sixth grade things seeme so easy. As I got to seventh grade it seemed tough, but I made it through. However, eighth grade was nothing  compared to what I thought was tough in seventh grade, it was much harder. Another differences I have noticed is how in sixth and eighth grade I rode the bus, but in seventh grade I rode the bus or walked to school. The last thing that I realized was different is the feeling i felt during the time. In sixth grade I was new to school, and I felt like I was starting back in kinder. As well as seventh grade, I was just in the middle and I still felt like the little one. Finally, eighth grade came, and from what I have experienced and learned, I feel so much older and ready for high school. My last difference, that I have just noticed changed, is that I made many friends I will always remember, and there were people I called friends, that weren’t really friends.

Aside of the differences that went on through my middle school years, some things remained the same. One of the biggest things I see remained the same is how I played sports in seventh grade, as well as eighth grade. Another thing that was remained the same is how every step of the way I get support from my family, similarly how my friends support me. One of the biggest thing that has remained the same is how every year has its tough point, I always manage to find a way to succeed. One similarity that has stood out through all my years, is how I have always managed to come in principles list, or high honors. In other words, it has given me the confidence to be anything. Finally, another one of the biggest things that has remained the same, is how every new year, I use what I have learned from the previous years to help me in my current year.

In conclusion I have come to remember that in each grade I always sat in class wondering when the school year would end. Come to realize, that each school year was just another building of confidence, an extension to the education, and the test to see if you are willing to do anything it takes to succeed. As I had mentioned, seventh and eighth grade I got the chance to be in sports all year long. Being in sports has changed my attitude. Before, I didn’t enjoy working in groups as much, and wasn’t into making new friends everyday. Then, when I joined sports, it made me learn to work with others, and get along with other. Throughout the years of middle school, my personality has changed a whole lot. To start out with sixth grade, I was still a bit immature because im fresh out of elementary, I didn’t know much. Then seventh grade, I was getting the whole feeling of being in middle school, but even at that I changed from liking boys, to learning that just little things we wont realize until we get older. Finally, eighth grade I realized that I became more matture. I took more time to do homework, then just wanting to play outside. I took more effort in trying, then just giving up and asking a friend to borrow their paper. Now, that my middle school years our at its end, I have done so much to prepare for high school, and the reality ill be facing.
